Class Introduction and Goals

Hello! Welcome to the Beginner 2 class of our Grace Language and Culture School.

For our class, we begin each session with a prayer and theme passage from the Bible. We want to create a classroom atmosphere where both the teachers and students encourage and support each other so that students in the Beginner 2 class, who are in the process of learning Hangul, can continue their journey in learning the language. In addition, we will strive to grow together and develop a mutual sense of respect and communication between the teachers and students.

  • Through engaging in textbooks and material that focus on situations and dialogues related to family, friends, daily life, and school life, students can develop a diverse and balanced set of Korean language listening, comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Students will learn basic Korean consonants and vowels, as well as letters and combinations of vowels, and develop the ability to read and write words by merging these components together.
  • Practice writing with correct grammatical structure.
  • Develop reading comprehension skills to listen, understand, and think creatively. In order to do so, we will cover Korean story books of elementary and intermediate levels.
  • Using this opportunity of online education, various audio and visual materials will be used.
  • Through cultural classes where students can directly or indirectly experience the excellence and uniqueness of Korean culture, students are encouraged to take pride in their roots as Koreans.
