Class Information

The KSL class is a place where our students learn about the differences between the Eastern and Western worlds through studying Hangeul and the Korean cultural history, and moreover grow as mediators who can unite these worlds together through the love of God.

We will combine the Canadian academic learning environment with the Korean language and culture, and will focus on communication between teachers and students, and between students and students.

This is an important time to solidify all areas of the Korean language for our students. Specifically, the focus of our class will be on strengthening listening, writing, reading, and speaking skills, along with creative writing and presentation techniques.

The Intermediate 2 class prepares lessons so that students can freely express their thoughts in Korean through accurate Korean expression and grammar, while establishing the ability to read and write short and complex sentences in Korean using basic vocabulary, grammar, and sentence patterns.

We are a class that unites together through love and prayer. Students can expect to become competent in listening, writing, speaking, and reading in Korean, through a harmonized and balanced manner.

We want to create a classroom atmosphere where both the teachers and students encourage and support each other so that students in the Beginner 2 class, who are in the process of learning Hangul, can continue their journey in learning the language.

In our Grade 1 class, we always begin with God’s Word and prayer. Using simple vowels and consonants students will learn basic vocabulary and through repeated practice, students will be able to listen, speak, write, and read the vocabulary they have learned.

Our Kindergarten class is intended for those learning Korean for the first time, and introduces Korean culture and language through exciting and inclusive children’s songs, fairy tales, and games.

The goal of this class is to spark interest in Hangul through Montessori classes in a well-structured education environment, and to learn the basic vowels of the Korean language through a variety of activities every week, encouraging the children and allowing them to enjoy the learning process.
